Firefighters battled a large fire at a clubhouse restaurant located at Reynolds Landing in Greensboro, Georgia, on Saturday night, according to local fire authorities.
Esse at Reynolds Lake Oconee is the signature dining establishment at the golf community, which features seven — and soon to be eight — distinct courses a little over an hour east of Atlanta and designed by renowned architects, including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio and Rees Jones, among others.

Atlanta TV reporter Cody Alcorn posted on social media that the clubhouse
"appears to be a total loss," and noted, "locals telling me it may have started at an outdoor fireplace involving propane."
In a Facebook post, one of the club's head professionals, posted that the golf and restaurant staff were all safe as were patrons at Esse. "Than you to all the first responders and volunteers that provided mutual aid from surrounding areas," wrote PGA professional Pamela Shelley. "This is a very sad day for our team that call Landing our home."

Reynolds Lake Oconee has consistently been recognized on Golfweek's Best annual rankings for both its resort and residential golf courses, including top 200 residential golf courses in the U.S. and thetop 200 resort courses in the U.S. Fenmoor Golf Club, the eight course at Reynolds, will be a members-only course set to open later this fall and located in the northeast corner of the 12,000-acre community.
