The summer months have come and gone, which means it's time for the 2026-27 college golf season.
The best amateurs in the world are going to sport their college gear the next nine months, with all roads leading to Omni La Costa Resort & Spa's North Course, site of the national championship, is San Diego. The best players in men's college golf are also going to battle for the sport's premier award, the Fred Haskins Award.
Last year, Auburn's Jackson Koivun took home the Haskins Award after winning six times and becoming the fourth two-time winner of the Heisman Trophy of college golf. He also won in his third start as a professional last month at the 3M Open on the PGA Tour.
That means a new Player of the Year will be crowned next May.
The Haskins
Award presented by Stifel honors the player of the year in men’s college golf, as selected by college golfers, coaches and members of the college golf media. The players on this watch list are displayed alphabetically. Players on the Haskins Award Watch List were selected by a panel of college golf media.
