Solheim Cup Outright Winner
Beth Ann Nichols: Team U.S. (-1100)
The past four Cups have been decided by a combined six points, and the teams this year are exceptionally close. But Europe has double the number of rookies (4), and that will be the difference maker. USA, led by No. 1 Nelly Korda, will win by a nose.
Todd Kelly: Tie (+1200)
I'll be the oddball here and predict a 14-14 tie, which last happened in 2023. This would do two things:
it would have the defending champion U.S. retain the Cup but also keep the Americans winless on foreign soil since 2015.
Cameron Jourdan: Team Europe (+100)
In an essential pick 'em, it's hard to go against the hosts. Playing on the road in a team competition is hard, and outside of Nelly Korda, who herself hasn't played anywhere near where she was earlier in the year, the Americans seem like a team that's searching for a spark coming into one of the biggest weeks of the year. The Euros will be ready from the jump, and that will be the difference at Bernardus.
Jason Lusk: Team Europe (+100)
Europe has the home-field advantage and plenty of Solheim experience. The Americans have ample firepower at the top of the roster, but dependence on just the top players has backfired on American teams in the past in the Solheim Cup and with men's international team events in recent years.
Tony Paul (Detroit News): Team Europe (+100)
This is a tough one to forecast, and the oddsmakers agree (it's a coin flip). So when that's the case, I like to give the edge to the home team, which is Europe at Bernadus in the Netherlands. Team USA does have more experience, though, as Europe is rolling out four rookies.
Tim Schmitt: Team Europe (+100)
Here's the good news for the Americans: They have the best player. Unfortunately, that's not how this works, and considering that Europe has * only lost once in the last four competitions, * has more depth than the U.S. side, * and is at home, this feels like one we'll look back on and say, "We should have seen this massacre coming."
Nick Stavas: Team Europe (+100)
The U.S. team has the world's best player, but Team Europe is deeper and will have a rowdy crowd behind them. I like the Europeans to take the Cup back in the Netherlands this week.
Adam Schupak: Team Europe (+100)
Home-field advantage is huge in these international competitions, as we just saw at the Walker Cup. Rory McIlroy said winning on foreign soil is one of the hardest things to do in sports, and I agree with him. The U.S. has its studs who will have to carry the team. But with injuries and some unproven players and vets not in the best form, I think the Euros can win this one in a close contest.
