Add Lottie Woad to the list of Solheim Cuppers who are under the weather. The Englishwoman began the final round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship in a share of fifth after back-to-back 66s at Pinnacle Country Club.
But on Sunday, after hitting her drive out of bounds on the par-5 14th, Woad withdrew due to illness from the 54-hole event in Rogers, Arkansas. Woad's Solheim Cup partner Charley Hull was bed-bound for much of the week following the Solheim, noting that she battled tonsillitis over the weekend in the Netherlands.
Rose Zhang withdrew prior to the first round in Arkansas, though no reason was given. Even European vice captain Mel Reid lost her voice in the Golf Channel booth.
As for Woad, she was 5 over through 13 holes when she called
it a day.
