The PGA Tour is in Japan this week for the 2026 Baycurrent Classic, the third event on the FedEx Cup Fall schedule. It's a strong field that's headlined by Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa. The first round at Yokohama Country Club in Kanagawa, Japan, begins Thursday (Wednesday night in the U.S.). Below, we look at Baycurrent Classic odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.
For a fall event, the field is loaded with stars. In addition to Schauffele (+900) and Morikawa (+1600), Hideki Matsuyama (+1600), Wyndham Clark (+1600) and Justin Thomas (+2200) are all teeing it up in Japan. Schauffele is the defending champion after beating out Max Greyserman (+4000) and Michael Thorbjornsen (+2800) for the title.
This is only the second year
of the Baycurrent Classic being played at Yokohama Country Club. It measures 7,322 yards and plays as a par 71. There are only 2 par 5s on the course and just 3 par 3s, so it's heavy on par 4s. Schauffele's winning score last season was 19-under par, and there were eight players at 14 under or better. There is no cut for this 72-player event.

Doug Ghim (+2200)
Ghim ranks sixth among all players in the field in SG: tee-to-green in the last 3 months, and he's also third this season in par-4 scoring average – a key stat considering 72% of this course is made up of par 4s. He tied for 17th in his last start at the Biltmore Championship Asheville.
Baycurrent Classic: Best prop bets
Jacob Bridgeman (+2000)
Bridgeman won in Asheville, North Carolina, and then played in the Presidents Cup, so he's in great form entering this week. He didn't play this event last year but in the last 3 months, he's second in total strokes gained compared to players in the field.
Collin Morikawa (+1600)
Morikawa tied for 14th in this event a year ago, and given his iron play, he should be a top contender again this week. He ranks 18th on the PGA Tour in par-4 scoring average and fourth in total strokes gained in the last 3 months.
Baycurrent Classic picks – Contenders
Jackson Suber (+5000)
Suber can't putt right now, ranking 56th out of 63 qualified players in SG: putting in the last 3 months, but he's seventh from tee-to-green and 10th in approach play. He tied for 15th in his only start so far this fall at the Biltmore Championship Asheville.
Alex Smalley (+3300)
Smalley tied for fourth in this event last year and like Morikawa, he's tied for 18th in par-4 scoring average this season. Davis Thompson is the only player in the field who has gained more strokes on approach than Smalley in the last 3 months.
Keith Mitchell (+4000)
Mitchell tied for 10th here a year ago and comes into the week with this being his first start of the fall. He's gained more stokes off the tee than all but 1 player in the field over the last 3 months, so his driver could give him an advantage this week.
Baycurrent Classic picks – Long shots
Takumi Kanaya (+8000)
Kanaya tied for fourth in this event last year and has played well this fall, finishing 26th last week in Utah. His strength right now is his short game, ranking fourth in SG: around the green in the last 3 months.
