The preparation is complete, and it's finally time for the 51st Walker Cup.
The 2026 edition of the biennial competition between 10 of the best amateurs from the United States and their counterparts from Great Britain & Ireland begins Saturday at Lahinch in Ireland. The Americans lead the all-time series, 40-9-1, including five straight.
Lahinch is ranked No. 26 on Golfweek's Best list of International Courses, and this week it takes center stage in the golf world, hosting its first Walker Cup.
On Friday evening, captains Nathan Smith of the USA and Dean Robertson from GB&I announced their pairings for the opening foursomes session, which begins at 3:30 a.m. EDT Saturday, as well as the afternoon singles matches.
