As the 2026 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship celebrates 20 years, a new face hoisted the trophy. Yuna Nishimura started the final round with a 5-shot lead, lost it and trailed by one before making the turn at Pinnacle Country Club.
But when she needed to come up big, the petite Nishimura delivered, becoming the third first-time winner of the 2026 season and the third Japanese player to win the Arkansas event.
Nishimura, 26, claimed the $450,000 first-place prize, nearly tripling her earnings for the season.
Coming into this week, Nishimura had made only six cuts in 15 starts, with her lone top 10 coming at the Dow Championship, a team event.
