It appears Bryson DeChambeau has had enough of golf media.
On Tuesday at The Club at Chatham Hills, site of this week's LIV Golf Indianapolis, the final event of the 2026 season, Bryson DeChambeau called a group of reporters the "mafia," according to a Golf.com story:
“Oooh the mafia has arrived. The mafia. You guys love talking s–t.”
Senior writer Sean Zak noted that while DeChambeau was kinda/sorta/likely kidding, there was a hint of intent with the comment.
at least "mafia" is an upgrade over "corrupt media" https://t.co/SS9a5rmabe pic.twitter.com/IJLbGwLEfX

Then on Wednesday, DeChambeau had another incident, this time with the guy who runs the popular Monday Q account. It was first noted by Brandon Reef, who reported that Ryan French, who runs the @acaseofthegolf1
account on X, was booted off the practice range by DeChambeau and his team. Seems that French was doing his job and videotaping some of DeChambeau's swings when he was told to leave.
Got booted off the range by Bryson today. #1,892 on the list of what the hell has happened to my life. https://t.co/2FR03fGWdl

DeChambeau and the rest of the LIV circuit are competing for the final time in 2026 this week after the league canceled the team championship next week, which was supposed to be in Michigan.
