Not one. Not two. But three.
New Mexico senior Johnnie Clark has had a stellar start to the college golf season. He has won all three events he has teed it up in, and all three of those wins have come in different countries.
On Saturday, Clark finished as co-medalist at the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the UNM Championship Course. With the victory, he became the first Division I men's player to win his first three stroke play events in a season since Oklahoma State's Matthew Wolff in 2018-19 and is the first Lobo to win three straight tournaments ever.
Clark began his season with a win at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League in Japan, then he went and won his second start at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational.

Three titles in three countries. Not bad.
At the Tucker Invitational, Clark finished tied with San Diego State’s Brayden Forte at 13 under following stroke play, and the duo played two playoffs holes and birdied each. Travel commitments didn't allow for a third playoff hole, so the duo were crowned co-champions.
Clark has shot in the 60s in eight of his nine rounds this season. Dating to last season, he has won four of his past six collegiate starts, earning his first victory at the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate in April.
New Mexico finished runner-up to San Diego State at its home event, but Clark is making an early-season statement for the Lobos.
