The 2026 VidantaWorld Mexico Open tees off on Thursday, Oct. 29, from Vidanta Vallarta in Vallarta, Mexico. Golfweek staffers have locked in our best picks to win this weekend. Here's who we expect to sit atop the leaderboard when play ends on Sunday.

VidantaWorld Mexico Open outright winner
Cameron Jourdan: Blades Brown (+3300)
Earlier this month, Blades locked up his PGA Tour card for 2027, so there's no stress for the 19-year-old worrying about job security the rest of the year. So why not have a teenager win in Mexico this week? Four top-nine finishes in his last eight KFT starts, including a runner-up finish at the KFT Championship. Why not Blades?
David Dusek: Wyndham Clark (+1200)
This is the place where I usually provide
a stat or reason why a player, in my mind, is a strong contender, but I want to twist things around this week. Looking at this field, with all due respect, why would you NOT pick Wyndham Clark? Elite ballstriker, his putter has been hot since March, he's won three times this season ... "Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?"
Jason Lusk: Tom Kim (+1800)
Kim has top-20 finishes in five of his most recent seven events, including a win in Scotland. His approach play is elite. If he makes a few putts, he'll be the favorite.
Adam Schupak: Ben James (+1800)
I'm the unofficial conductor of the Ben James bandwagon and I'm convinced he will nab a maiden Tour title this fall, but I held off on picking James last week and, boy, was I right as he missed the cut. This figures to be a better course fit. Wyndham Clark is the favorite and he could be tough to beat but betting he may have some early-round rust.
Nick Stavas: Ben Griffin (+2200)
Griffin did not have a strong finish to the summer, and it likely cost him a spot on the U.S. Presidents Cup team. But he's a 3-time PGA Tour winner and nearly won the Mexico Open last year, finishing T-4. He hasn't made a Tour start since August, but sometimes a long layoff can be good for a talented pro trying to find his form.
Tim Schmitt: Jackson Suber (+4000)
A former Golfweek third-team All-American, Suber has been a model of consistency over the second half of the 2026 season, with just a single round over par in his last 20 and he's finished in the top 5 twice this season. This could be the week he breaks through.
Todd Kelly: Jordan Smith (+4000)
International players have fared well in this event and while Smith is playing the tournament for the first time, here's a vote for the Englishman to break through to earn his first PGA Tour win. He has a third, two top 5s and 9 top 25s in 2026. Comfortably inside the top 100 at No. 66 in FedEx Cup Fall points, Smith is coming off a tie for fourth last time out in Japan.
