International Team Captain Geoff Ogilvy rounded out his 12-man team with his six picks on Sept. 1.
“There's sort of all these unknowns up until you make your picks and you've got your actual 12,” he said. “So having the actual 12, it's a really nice feeling.”
Adam Scott earned his way on to the team and the Aussie is making his 12th appearance in the biennial competition, though he’s still seeking his first victory.
“Basically, he's been on this Presidents Cup team his whole career, which is amazing,” Ogilvy said. “It's great to have him on the team. Obviously, I've been friends with Adam since we were junior golfers. I've been talking to him a lot. I run a lot of things by him, all of us do in sort of the leadership side of things from the International
Team. He's a big part of that.
“He's been at more Presidents Cups than me, so he brings a lot of experience. He's still a player and he wants to just be a player and he doesn't want to be anywhere near the captains, but we do ask him some questions and he brings a lot to the table. And he brings so much respect in the locker room. When Adam starts talking, all the boys start listening.”
The nucleus of the International Team includes some other savvy veterans, including Si Woo Kim, who had arguably his best season on Tour, a resurgent Tom Kim who returned to the winner’s circle, past major winner Hideki Matsuyama and reigning Champion Golfer of the Year Ryan Fox.
The team, which includes representatives from seven different countries and speaking various languages, has bonded around the black and gold shield and team dinners and other social outings over the last couple of years.
“When I first started playing this tournament we sort of started talking about it the week before, and now it really is a rolling two-year thing, and the International Team is sort of a constant amongst that,” Ogilvy said. “We've just got to crack the code on the golf course now.”

Si Woo Kim

The 31-year-old collected three runner-up finishes (Farmers Insurance Open, CJ Cup Byron Nelson, FedEx St. Jude Championship) and placed third twice (T-3/WM Phoenix Open, 3rd/RBC Heritage), maintaining consistent form throughout the 2026 season. Made his Presidents Cup debut in 2017. Standout performance in a Presidents Cup came in 2022 at Quail Hollow, where he went 3-1-0, defeating Justin Thomas in Sunday singles.
Hideki Matsuyama

His seventh Presidents Cup trails Adam Scott (12), Ernie Els (8) and Vijay Singh (8).
Ryan Fox

2026 highlights: Fox earned his third Tour title and first major championship at the British Open at Royal Birkdale at the age of 39, becoming the second player from New Zealand to win the Open (Bob Charles). With a win, he moved up 34 spots in the Official World Golf Ranking to 22nd and propelled himself to No. 2 in the International Team standings, trailing only Si Woo Kim. Fox is the first player from New Zealand to compete in the Presidents Cup since 2015 (Danny Lee) and fifth overall.
Tom Kim

2026 highlights: Earned his fourth Tour victory in his 111th start at the Genesis Scottish Open, joining Hideki Matsuyama (4) with the third-most Tour wins before the age of 25 by a non-American. Next best finish came at the Wyndham Championship (T-5), qualifying for his fourth trip to the FedEx Cup Playoffs since turning professional in 2018. This year marks the 24-year-old's third PC appearance. Kim has qualified for the International Team in each of his three starts, beginning with his debut in 2022 at Quail Hollow Club at age 20.
Min Woo Lee

Made his Presidents Cup debut in 2024 as a captain's pick and has since become a fan-favorite for the Internationals.
Adam Scott

Corey Conners

The Canadian is set to make his third appearance playing for the Shield. Conners putted terribly in 2022 and was winless in four matches in 2022. He was slightly better in Montreal two years ago, going 2-3 and playing all five sessions. He had only one top-10 this season and failed to make the BMW Championship. Still, he narrowly missed the six automatic qualification spots, and if his ball striking is dialed in and he putts better, he can make for a difficult opponent.
Nico Echavarria

Echavarria won for the third time on Tour earlier this season at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches. He recorded three top 10s and five top 25s this season. He will be making his International team debut.
Nick Taylor

Considering he’s a five-time PGA Tour winner, it’s remarkable that Taylor has never made an International team before. Taylor, who finished 13th in the point standings, should have been selected two years ago when the competition was held in Montreal. His game was in better form then than it is now, but he’s waited a long time for this chance and he’s proven that he can be a big-game hunter, taking down Phil Mickelson to win at Pebble Beach and Tommy Fleetwood in a playoff to win his national championship, the RBC Canadian Open. He recorded just one top-10 finish this season and failed to make it past the first round of the playoffs.
Sungjae Im

Im started the season on the injured list but still nearly made it to East Lake. He failed to win in 2026 and hasn’t done so in nearly five years but he finished the season strongly. Expect him to team with Hideki Matsuyama again. They paired up to win a foursomes match 7 and 6 over Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele, tying the Presidents Cup record for shortest match in the competition’s 30-year history.
Ryo Hisatsune

- Presidents Cup record: Rookie
The youngest player on the International team, Hisatsune made 21 straight cuts this season, including a T-2 at the Farmers Insurance Open among five top-10 finishes. He finished 10th in the International team point standings.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout

- Age: 32
- World ranking: 96
- Previous appearances: 2022, 2024
- Presidents Cup record: 3-1-1
The South African was chosen from outside the top 15 of the team standings. But he had a winning record in his previous appearance and Ogilvy went off the script by choosing the 96th ranked player in the world.
When and where is the Presidents Cup?
The 16th edition of the Presidents Cup will be played Sept. 24-27 at Medinah Country Club in Chicago.
