The first college golf tournament of Kai Trump's career is in the books.
The granddaughter of President Donald Trump concluded play Tuesday at the 2026 Golfweek Fall Classic
, her first event donning the green, white and orange for the Miami Hurricanes. Playing as an individual, Trump signed for 10-over 81 on Tuesday, her highest score of the week at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.Trump carded scores of 78-76-81 in her college golf debut, finishing tied for 102nd in the 120-player field.
Starting on the par-5 10th, Trump began with a pair of pars before she had six straight bogeys but made the turn after a par, the first of four straight. A stretch of bogey-triple-bogey colored the scorecard before the finish, where
she birdied the penultimate hole of the tourney, the par-5 eighth.
The tournament is one of the first for Trump, 19, since having left wrist surgery earlier this year. She underwent surgery "to address injuries to the stabilizing tissues of my ECU tendon and damage to my fibrocartilage complex."
The Hurricanes won their first team event last week at the Boilermaker Classic, with Scarlett Schremmer taking home the individual title. Trump was not in the lineup for that event.
She and teammate Carlee Rogers (T-74) were the lone Hurricanes in the field at Caledonia.
Last fall, Trump made her debut on the LPGA at The Annika, where she shot 83-75. One sportsbook had her over/under for Round 1 at 92.5.
