Like he always does at the Players Championship in March, PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp will holding court in Atlanta at East Lake Golf Club on Tuesday.
This time, it's a session with the media ahead of the 2026 Tour Championship, the big-money season-ending FedEx Cup Playoffs event.
Rolapp also answered questions from assembled media at the Memorial as well as the Travelers, both in June.

New Tour Championship format coming in 2028
Brian Rolapp hasn't spoke yet, but the Tour announced Tuesday morning a new format for the Tour Championship beginning in 2028.

What did we learn the last time Brian Rolapp met the golf media?
Well,
quite a bit. It was in Cromwell, Connecticut, ahead of the Travelers that the PGA Tour's two-track system for 2028 was unveiled. The plan is to define “the optimal competitive model that enhances the PGA Tour’s value to fans, players and partners” and it was approved that June Monday during the Tour’s board meeting.
2028 is when big changes are coming, but things are fluid in 2027, too
The Florida Swing will be revamped for the 2027 season. The PGA Tour announced in May a number of scheduling changes on Tuesday, most notably moving the Cadillac Championship from May this year back to its former home in March, and the Valspar Championship will shift to May.
Rollback of the golf ball likely still to be a topic of debate
It was in June at the Travelers that Golfweek asked for comments a week after USGA CEO Mike Whan announced golf ball rollback scheduled to begin in 2028 for elite players was pushed back to 2030. At the Travelers, Rolapp did not deliver an earth-shaking revelations and nothing was announced, but Rolapp once again did not come out to throw the PGA Tour’s support behind the rollback and USGA and R&A’s plans.
Brian Rolapp detailed 6 themes for future schedules at the Players
The commissioner of the PGA Tour since last summer, Rolapp detailed plans for the future PGA Tour schedule and how the Tour is going to look different in the not-so-distant future. He spoke about his work with the Future Competition Committee, which Tiger Woods heads as chairman, the six themes that are beginning to emerge from months and months of talks with players, sponsors and media partners and the timeline for all this to be implemented.
