It has been a rainy few months in the Midwest, and unfortunately for those hoping to see some carnage at the 2026 Presidents Cup, players will enjoy extremely soft conditions at Medinah Country Club this week.
So, those who set up the course are having to make up for those soft conditions in other ways. One of those ways is placing the pins in difficult locations on the greens. Well, there are tucked pins, and then there's whatever we have here on Thursday:

To put into perspective just how diabolical some of these hole locations are, here's a look at the pin on No. 2.
It's resting just four paces onto the green and just 17 feet ― yes, seventeen feet ― from the out-of-bounds fence.

Another one that catches the eye is the 13th, where the flag is just six paces from the front and six paces from the right. So yes, while the course will be playing soft, it's safe to say we can still expect some drama to unfold with these pin locations for Thursday's four-ball matches at the Presidents Cup; it's probably safe to assume this will be a theme throughout the week at Medinah.
