There's been a variety of zombie movies over the years, from horror to campy to comedy. Add another one to the list and the premise for "Zombie Golf" sounds downright outrageous:
When four estranged friends reunite for one last round of golf, a zombie outbreak turns their game into a fight for survival but they're determined to finish all 18 holes.
But it's a real movie, and it's coming to a screen near you soon. Produced for less than $20,000, Zombie Golf features a cameo from Michelle Wie West.
Maui native Lucas Zarro wrote, directed, and produced the film and he enlisted Honolulu's Wie West to participate in the film, which was shot over 10 days on two of Hawaii's islands.

set and local businesses chipped in by donating clothes for the actors and catered lunches for the cast and crew.
"On the surface, it's four friends who refuse to quit their round while the world falls apart around them, but underneath, it's really about drifting apart and realizing too late how much your friends mean to you," said Zarro.
"Having someone like Michelle Wie West step into our scrappy little movie was surreal."
Zarro said screenings of the movie in Hawaii are planned for late October 2026, with further distribution to follow.
