PGA Tour star Sahith Theegala’s latest milestone happened off the course.
The 28-year-old star married longtime partner and influencer Julianna “Juju” Chan, 29, during a two-day celebration in Maui, Hawaii, adding a pretty memorable finish to a year in which Theegala also rediscovered his game.
Theegala and Chan were married in a Hindu ceremony Friday, Oct. 23, followed by a Western ceremony Saturday, Oct. 24, at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua, on the northwestern shore of the island.
“Getting married on Maui, my favorite island, is my absolute dream,” Chan told People Magazine. “It is such a special place to both of us.”
It was another reason for Theegala to celebrate after a bounce-back season on the PGA Tour. A year ago, injuries had derailed
his season. After finishing third in the FedEx Cup in 2024 and making a serious run at the season-long title, Theegala tumbled to No. 147 in 2025.
But in 2026, Theegala came back strong, making 24 of 25 cuts, recording nine top-25 finishes and four top-10s, and climbing 99 spots in the FedEx Cup standings, the biggest year-over-year improvement of anyone on the PGA Tour. He finished No. 48, returning to the top 50 and securing his spot in the Tour’s signature events in 2027.
The couple met as student-athletes at Pepperdine University in 2015, when Theegala played on the golf team and Chan competed on the swim and dive team. Both majored in sport administration and shared classes, eventually becoming close friends.
“We were really close friends for about seven years before we started dating in 2022,” Chan told People. “We got engaged in October 2025 on the island of Kauai. It was so special and he flew out our family to share that moment with us as well.”
Hawaii was a natural choice for the wedding. Both grew up in California and had spent considerable time on the islands, together and separately.
“We have both spent a lot of time in Hawaii both together and growing up in California,” Chan said. “It is our favorite place in the world and we are so excited to be able to bring all our favorite people to our favorite place for this special week.”
