Alejandro Tosti has made big news in recent weeks due to issues with his caddie. But this week at the Bank of Utah Championship, the fiery Argentine made news by shining when he had to on the golf course.
After darkness suspended his second round with two holes to play, both Tosti and his playing partner, Jesper Svensson, entered Saturday's action at Black Desert Resort at 5 under, a single stroke off the cut line.
Tosti and Svensson both made birdie on the par-3 17th hole and then both players backed that up by making birdie on the par-5 18th to make the cut.
The late heroics came less than two weeks after Tosti found himself at the center of one of the Tour season's strangest stories.

Tosti, 30, arrived at Black Desert Resort with a new caddie,
Camilo Pinilla, after Cliff Ellis quit on him during the Biltmore Championship Asheville. Ellis removed his caddie bib and walked off on the 18th hole, Tosti's ninth hole of the day, ending a partnership that had started in May.
Left without a caddie mid-round, Tosti recruited spectator Patrick Talledo from the gallery to carry the bag for his remaining holes. Talledo stayed on the bag for the second round as well, though Tosti ultimately missed the 36-hole cut.
Tosti had missed the cut in each of his last four events prior to Utah and had made the weekend in just four of 22 starts this season.
Caddie changes have become a familiar storyline for Tosti. Ellis began working for him at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, while Sean Leutner carried the bag at the 3M Open earlier this season.
Now, with Pinilla alongside him and his weekend secured thanks to a pair of clutch birdies, Tosti has a chance to turn the conversation back to his golf.
