The Europeans rallied furiously, but it still wasn't enough.
The Americans captured the 2026 Ping Junior Solheim Cup
on Tuesday at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands, the site of this week's 2026 Solheim Cup, which begins Friday. The junior competition features 12 of the best junior Americans against their European counterparts, with teams competing in six foursomes, six four-ball and 12 singles matches to determine a winner.The red, white and blue had a dominating start Monday, claiming 9½ of the 12 points available in foursomes and four-ball, needing only 2½ in singles to retain the title.
Team Europe made a furious rally, starting with Annabel Peaford knocking off U.S. Women's Amateur champion Asterisk Talley in the lead match. That sparked
a stellar charge from the blue and yellow, earning 8½ points, but it wasn't enough. The Americans topped Europe, 13-11.
The United States now leads the all-time series 9-4-1. This was the first time the competition was contested on the same course as the Solheim Cup, a big achievement for junior golf. Past participants include Rose Zhang, Carlota Ciganda, Linn Grant, Lexi Thompson, and the Korda sisters, all of whom were future participants in the Solheim Cup.
