Solheim Cup veteran Madelene Sagstrom shared some happy personal news in the wake of Europe's big win. The 33-year-old LPGA winner and her husband, Jack Clarke, welcomed the first child, a son named Finn.
Sagstrom, a four-time Solheim Cup player (2017, 2021, 2023 and 2024), played late into her pregnancy, including the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera at 26 weeks.
The two-time LPGA winner tied for ninth in mid-June at her final start before maternity leave at the Dow Championship alongside fellow Swede Dani Holmqvist. Sagstrom has made more than $5 million in career earnings on the LPGA since joining the tour in 2017.
It was a banner week for moms as the American player who led the way for Angela Stanford's team was Alison Lee, who went 4-0 in the Netherlands
after coming back from maternity leave earlier this year.
Sagstrom said earlier in the year that she hopes to return to the LPGA next spring after the tour returns from Asia.
