The 2026 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur came down to a golfer from China versus another from France, both first-time finalists.
Amandine Vincent, 50, of France, battled China's Xiaolong Zhong, also 50, in an 18-hole final at Portland Golf Club in Portland, Oregon, in the 64th edition of the championship. Zhong was also the medalist at this year's tournament.
Whoever won would make further history, as neither China nor France has produced a winner of this event.

Vincent won the first two holes to go 2 up, then Zhong won four straight holes to swing to 2 up in her favor. She got it to 3 up after winning the 10th hole but then Vincent won Nos. 11, 15 and 16 to knot things up once again.
Zhong won the 17th hole to take a 1-up lead to the 18th, a par 5.
Both golfers managed par at the last and with that, it was Zhong celebrating a 1-up victory.
Lara Tenant, who was knocked out in the semifinals, still won five matches over the course of the event and improved her all-time record to 31-6 at the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur.
The top eight finishers in this year's event, aka all the quarterfinalists, have earned a spot in the 2027 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur, to be played at Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
