President Donald Trump was a big part of Sunday's festivities surrounding Sunday singles at the 2026 Presidents Cup.
Trump, who served as honorary chairman of the event for the second time, was on the first tee and greeted all 24 members of both teams as they started the 12 singles matches at Medinah No. 3. Before arriving on property, Air Force One did a low-pass flyover of the course in the Chicago suburbs, and then Trump was on site at the conclusion of the competition to award the trophy.
The U.S. had the greatest singles performance in Cup history, earning 9½ points out of 12 to win an 11th straight Presidents Cup. Upon arriving back in Washington, Trump said the comeback was unlike any other.
"The team was unbelievable. It was one of the
greatest comebacks in the history of golf, in the history of the sport," Trump said. "Our team played unbelievable golf."

The comeback was the largest in Presidents Cup history, with the U.S. winning 17-13 over the Internationals. The red, white and blue earned more points in singles than it did in the first four sessions.
After play concluded, USA captain Brandt Snedeker praised Trump, saying, "And one last shout out to Donald Trump, President Trump. He told me I was going to bring some energy today for you guys, you guys need it, and I told him if we did this, he gets all the credit."
