It's been a big year for Lexi Thompson. After tying the knot with Max Provost in March, the couple announced they're expecting their first child, a girl, due in February 2027.
Thompson posted the happy news on her social media accounts.
"The best chapter of our lives is just beginning and we are so blessed and grateful," Thompson wrote. "Baby girl, we already love you more than you'll ever know."
Thompson, 31, has played a part-time schedule on the LPGA the past two seasons and pulled out of an event in June with a hip injury. She hasn't played since, missing the last three majors, but is in the field for this week's The Standard Portland Classic. She remains a big question mark for the U.S. Solheim Cup team next month and will likely need a pick
from U.S. captain Angela Stanford. Only two events remain before the team is selected.
Thompson, an 11-time winner on the LPGA, wed Provost at La Casa Toscana, a private Tuscan estate in Southwest Florida, in March.
