ARDMORE, PA — The 2026 U.S. Amateur inches closer to match play.
The first round of stroke play did not conclude Monday due to storms in the Philadelphia area, but play is resuming Tuesday morning on time, and barring any delays we should know the cut by day's end at Merion and Philadelphia Country Club. Plenty of notable names are in danger of missing match play, including the No. 1 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and the event's defending champion.
