Golf doesn’t need much help being frightening. A downhill 4-footer with a few dollars riding on it will usually do the job. But with Halloween approaching, TaylorMadeis bringing a more entertaining kind of trouble to your golf bag.
The TaylorMade x Ghostbusters Collection draws inspiration from the 1984 original motion picture, featuring a Slimer-themed Spider Tour X putter, a trio of MG5 wedges, and TP5 and TP5x golf balls taking the starring role, supported by a collection of apparel and accessories. If you grew up wanting to drive Ecto-1, the Ghostbusters' converted ambulance, this collection is going to bring back memories.

At the same time, it’s important to remember that this gear is themed versions of existing products. The Ghostbusters
treatments change the looks and packaging, but not the technology or performance.
The Slimer Spider Tour X ($399.99) is the easiest piece to spot across the practice green. It's got a deep green PVD finish, laser-etched sole plate and special shaft, along with a matching green headcover that completes the package.

The Containment Unit MG5 wedge set ($749.99) includes 52-, 56-, and 60-degree wedges, with different villain-inspired designs created using laser etching, engraving and custom paint fill. The three are sold together, so for golfers already in the market for some fresh grooves, it’s a unique option.
The Ghost Trap TP5 and Fire House TP5x ($64.99 each) extend the theme, and their packaging features individually designed sleeves inside. The TP5 arrives in packaging inspired by the crew’s ghost trap, while the TP5x pays tribute to its firehouse headquarters.

There’s also a ‘No Ghosts’ glove ($34.99) with the familiar red-circle logo, and a four-piece Ghostbusters ball marker set ($39.99). The Stay Puft mallet headcover ($89.99) shows the giant marshmallow man mid-stomp beneath a golden moon.
Apparel includes t-shirts, a ‘Jumpsuit’ polo and a ‘No Ghosts’ hoodie.
None of this is necessary to play better golf, but your bag doesn’t have to be entirely purist either. In the spirit of Halloween, a green putter and a Stay Puft Marshmallow Man head cover might be just the thing to help you relax and keep truly frightened scores off your card.
