Kai Trump concluded play Tuesday in the second event of her college career.
Trump, the 19-year-old granddaughter of President Donald Trump, shot 5-over 77 in the final round of the Golfweek Put Me In Coach Invitational at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Indiana. The freshman at Miami had three birdies in the final round, signing for her best score of the 54-hole event on the final day. She finished at 27-over 243, improving her score in every round.
The Put Me In Coach Invitational is an individual-only event, meaning Trump and three of her Hurricane teammates, including individual champion Rebekah Gardner, played on their own. Gardner finished at 3 under, topping teammate Anna Behnson by six shots for the trophy. Trump finished 13th out of 14
players.
Trump and the field played 36 holes on Monday before the final round on Tuesday. Trump carded rounds of 86 and 80 in the first day of competition before closing in 77.

In her first collegiate start at the Golfweek Fall Classic last month, also playing as an individual, Trump tied for 102nd in the 120-player field, revealing after the tournament she re-injured her wrist when a shot near a cart path struck unexpectedly hard ground beneath the grass.
Earlier this year, Trump underwent left wrist surgery to address damage to the stabilizing tissues of her ECU tendon and fibrocartilage complex. Testing revealed the damage she suffered after her first tournament was not as significant as initially feared, allowing her to tee it up this week.
With the second collegiate tournament of her career in the books, Trump will now focus on making sure her wrist is healthy and prepping for her next start, which is to be determined.
