Stewart Hagestad is nothing if not an amateur stalwart for the Americans. This week, the 35-year-old is competing in his sixth Walker Cup alongside an increasingly younger cohort, at least for him.
The U.S. team consists of 10 players, all of them much junior to Hagestad. There are two teenagers on the squad and the two players who are 21 are the closest in age to Hagestad.
Ahead of the competition, Hagestad was pressed to name all the American players he's ever competed alongside. By the end of the weekend, that number will reach 50. This is good stuff here:

The
Walker Cup is a 10-man amateur team competition between the U.S. and Great Britain and Ireland. The U.S. leads the all-time series 40-9-1 and will be going for its sixth straight win in the competition. Lahinch in Ireland is hosting its first Walker Cup.
