Three people were injured but miraculously nobody was killed when a vehicle crashed into the pro shop at a historic New England golf course that had close ties with designer Donald Ross and his family.
Local police said the driver and two pro shop employees at Brae Burn Country Club in West Newton, Massachusetts, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after the vehicle struck the building on Fuller Street.

The crash caused damage to
one of the pro shop's walls, which was later boarded up. The city engineer also responded to the scene.
Esteemed architect Ross had his thumbprints all over Brae Burn, as he first redesigned the 18-hole course in 1912 and then again in 1928. Also, Ross' brother, Alec, was the head pro at Brae Burn when he won the U.S. Open at Philadelphia Cricket Club.
Brae Burn is in a tie for the 185th spot on Golfweek's Best Classic 200 courses.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, but police said there is no indication of criminal activity and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor.
