Chip Brewer, Callaway Golf's CEO, released a statement late Monday night, expressing regret his company's decision to approve a video produced by Good Good golf that was meant to be part of a promotional campaign for a driver collaboration between the two brands. However, the video showed Good Good's Garrett Clark seeing a woman reaching for his driver, running at her and shoving her to the ground before looming over her and threatening, “Do not touch my new driver,” which drew swift criticism and backlash.
"While the video was produced by Good Good, it was approved by Callaway prior to posting," Brewer wrote in a statement. "That approval should never have happened. Mistakes were made and we are taking the matter very seriously."

Saturday afternoon, Good Good released a statement saying, "We posted a video to our channels that ultimately depicted actions that are not aligned with our values as a brand. We have since taken that content down, and sincerely apologize. Good Good has always stood for making the game of golf more inclusive to all, and we will continue to ensure that is out mission going forward."
Callaway released a statement shortly afterward, saying, "We are disappointed by the content that was posted, and are appreciative of Good Good for addressing this. We look forward to working together to ensure a more inclusive space in golf.”

Under Brewer's leadership, Callaway was one of the first major golf brands to partner with content creators and YouTube channels to promote its clubs, balls and brand, signing deals with Good Good and Bob Does Sports in January of 2023. Among the brand's staff players are Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele and Sam Burns, along with Rose Zhang, Jeeno Thitikul and Ruoning Yin on the women's side.
The PGA Tour and Good Good Golf announced earlier this year that a new Tour event, the Good Good Championship, will debut in November during the FedExCup Fall at Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa’s Fazio Canyons Course in Austin, Texas.
