In 2025, the injury bug didn't just bite the Bucs, it fed off them. Nearly every meaningful starter on both sides of the ball was beaten up, and the health of this team would be a big reason why they either bounced back or continued down the standings of the NFC South.
On Wednesday, the bug returned.
During a joint practice with the New York Jets, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka limped off the field with trainers. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo shared he was, "examined on the sideline table for a while. Hard to see exactly what’s up from where we are but he’s still on the table and hasn’t returned."
Later, while speaking to the media, head coach Todd Bowles shared that he did not have an update on Egbuka. He also said he was unclear on what the injury
was at that point.
As updates come in, we will provide them on Bucs Wire.
