The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are adding some extra depth to their game-day roster ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Tampa Bay elevated quarterback Easton Stick and rookie linebacker Caden Fordham from the practice squad on Saturday. The moves come as the Buccaneers prepare to play without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield and outside linebacker Rueben Bain Jr., both of whom were ruled out on the team's final injury report.
Stick's elevation gives Tampa Bay another quarterback behind rookie Jalon Daniels, who is set to make his first NFL start with Mayfield sidelined by a right thumb injury. Stick joined the Buccaneers' practice squad this week, giving the team an experienced option behind Daniels. He has previously spent time
with the Los Angeles Chargers and Atlanta Falcons.
Fordham's elevation gives the Buccaneers additional linebacker depth and puts the rookie in position to make his NFL regular-season debut. Tampa Bay originally signed Fordham as an undrafted free agent before the season. He was waived during final roster cuts before returning to the organization on the practice squad.
The Buccaneers enter Sunday's home game looking for their first win of the season after a 0-3 start. With injuries continuing to impact the roster, both Stick and Fordham will be available as Tampa Bay tries to get back on track against Green Bay.
