The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had to deal with a lengthy weather delay last week, but things are looking much better for Sunday's matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
The two teams are scheduled to kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium. The latest forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with temperatures around 85 degrees near kickoff.
Rain shouldn't be a problem this time around. The current hourly forecast near Raymond James Stadium shows a 0% chance of precipitation throughout the afternoon and into the game window.
Wind shouldn't have much of an impact either. The National Weather Service calls for light winds Sunday afternoon, with the stadium-area forecast showing winds around 5 mph leading into kickoff. That should provide favorable
conditions for both passing and kicking.
That's a very different outlook than Tampa Bay had against Cleveland in Week 2. Lightning in the area forced a delay of more than two hours before play resumed.
Temperatures should gradually fall as Sunday's game moves into the evening, but there isn't much in the forecast that should significantly impact the game. After last week's weather, the Bucs and Vikings should have considerably better conditions to work with in Week 3.
