The Browns welcomed four important players back to practice Friday as they prepared to host the Ravens in a game that could change the AFC North standings.
Running back Quinshon Judkins, linebacker Carson Schwesinger, defensive tackle Mason Graham, and defensive end Derek Barnett returned to the field, according to ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi. Defensive tackles Mike Hall Jr. and Kalia Davis and offensive lineman Teven Jenkins were not practicing.
The returns followed a difficult start to the week. Judkins, Schwesinger, Graham and Barnett were all listed as nonparticipants Wednesday and Thursday. Their presence Friday offered encouragement, although Oyefusi's report had not yet announced their participation levels or final game designations.
Judkins’
progress matters most for Baltimore’s run defense. His return keeps open the possibility that Cleveland will have its lead running back available rather than relying more heavily on its replacements.

On defense, Graham and Barnett could strengthen a front preparing to face Derrick Henry and a Ravens offense that may again start Tyler Huntley. Schwesinger’s potential availability would also help Cleveland account for Baltimore’s rushing attack and underneath passing game.
Hall and Davis remaining sidelined leaves Cleveland’s interior defensive depth in question, even with Graham back on the field. Jenkins’ absence keeps another question on the offensive line.
Baltimore enters Sunday at 4-1, one game ahead of the 3-2 Browns. A Cleveland victory would leave the teams tied and give the Browns an early head-to-head advantage. Friday’s returns don't guarantee all four players will suit up. They do give Cleveland a more encouraging outlook heading into the final injury report.
