TheBaltimore Ravens will open their home schedule against the New Orleans Saints with significant injury questions at wide receiver, offensive line, and defense. Zay Flowers is doubtful after injuring his hamstring during Baltimore’s 41-23 victory over Indianapolis. Flowers returned to practice on a limited basis Friday, but the Ravens are expected to exercise caution with their leading receiver.
Baltimore placed rookie Ja’Kobi Lane on injured reserve following wrist surgery and promoted Chris Moore to the active roster. Devontez Walker is available after missing Week 1 with a groin injury. Defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike, inside linebacker Teddye Buchanan and cornerback T.J. Tampa have been ruled out. Trey Hendrickson, Ronnie Stanley and John
Simpson are questionable.
Here is a position-by-position look at the Ravens’ updated 53-man roster, with news, statistics, and notes for every player entering Week 2.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson
Jackson completed 17 of 25 passes for 324 yards and one touchdown against Indianapolis. He also rushed seven times for 43 yards and a score. It was his highest passing total since October 2024 and his first game in Declan Doyle’s offense.
Tyler Huntley
Huntley provides an experienced backup who already understands Jackson and Baltimore’s offensive personnel. He completed 77.6% of his passes and posted a 103.1 passer rating while appearing in nine games last season.
Joe Fagnano
The undrafted rookie was Baltimore’s emergency third quarterback in Week 1. Fagnano finished his college career at Connecticut after beginning at Maine.
Running backs
Derrick Henry
Henry rushed 24 times for 144 yards and three touchdowns in Indianapolis. His 32-yard score helped him surpass Marcus Allen for third place on the NFL’s career rushing-touchdown list.
Justice Hill
Hill played 31 offensive snaps and rushed six times for 18 yards in the opener. Two second-half penalties hurt Baltimore, but he remains the primary third-down and pass-protection back.
Rasheen Ali
Ali did not receive an offensive touch in Week 1 but remains an important special-teams contributor. He averaged 25.4 yards across 30 kickoff returns last season.
Wide receivers
Zay Flowers
Flowers caught five passes for 150 yards and a touchdown before leaving the opener with a hamstring injury. He is doubtful and not expected to play after missing Wednesday and Thursday practices.
Rashod Bateman
Bateman played 53 offensive snaps without recording a reception in Week 1. His role should expand substantially if Flowers is held out.
Chris Moore
Moore was promoted after Lane moved to injured reserve. He caught a 53-yard pass in Indianapolis and produced 174 all-purpose yards after being elevated from the practice squad.
Devontez Walker
Walker practiced fully throughout the week and carries no injury designation. His vertical speed gives Baltimore another explosive option after he missed the opener with a groin injury.
LaJohntay Wester
Wester caught one pass for 6 yards while playing 20 offensive snaps in Week 1. The second-year receiver could inherit some of Flowers’ motion, slot, and backfield assignments.
Elijah Sarratt
The rookie was inactive against Indianapolis but could make his regular-season debut Sunday. His size and contested-catch ability would give Jackson another boundary target.
Tight ends
Mark Andrews
Andrews caught four passes for 49 yards in Week 1. His role could grow without Flowers, particularly on third down and in the red zone.
Durham Smythe
Smythe played 42 offensive snaps and helped Baltimore rush for 202 yards. His blocking remains central to the Ravens’ heavier personnel packages.
Matt Hibner
The rookie played 23 offensive snaps and earned recognition for his run blocking. He recorded a positive run-blocking grade on four of 17 blocking snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.
Josh Cuevas
The undrafted rookie was inactive in Week 1. He provides developmental depth as a receiver and blocker behind Andrews, Smythe and Hibner.
Offensive line
Ronnie Stanley
Stanley played all 68 offensive snaps against Indianapolis but allowed three pressures. He is questionable with a toe injury after returning to practice on a limited basis Friday.
John Simpson
Simpson played every offensive snap at left guard in the opener. He is questionable with a groin injury, and Andrew Vorhees would be the most likely replacement.
Jovaughn Gwyn
Gwyn started at center and played every snap in Week 1. His holding penalty erased what would have been Lane’s first NFL touchdown reception.
Vega Ioane
The first-round rookie played every offensive snap at right guard. His run blocking was encouraging, although two holding penalties erased positive plays.
Roger Rosengarten
Rosengarten started at right tackle and played all 68 snaps. He helped Baltimore average 5.9 yards per rush and finish with 506 total yards.
Ethan Pocic
The veteran center gives Baltimore an experienced alternative behind Gwyn. Pocic has appeared in more than 100 NFL games and has starting experience at center and guard.
Andrew Vorhees
Vorhees could start if Simpson cannot play. He started all 17 games for Baltimore last season and offers experience at both guard positions.
Carson Vinson
Vinson played seven offensive snaps as an extra blocker in Week 1. Jesse Minter earned the second-year tackle label as one of Baltimore’s most improved players, and he'd start at left tackle if Stanley can't play.
Emery Jones Jr.
Jones was inactive for the opener. The second-year lineman provides depth at guard and tackle after being selected in the 2025 draft.
Defensive line
Calais Campbell
Campbell played 29 defensive snaps against Indianapolis and helped Baltimore limit Jonathan Taylor outside the Colts’ opening drive. The 40-year-old practiced fully after receiving a Wednesday rest day.
Travis Jones
Jones played 40 defensive snaps and remains Baltimore’s primary interior anchor. His power is especially important with Madubuike out.
Nnamdi Madubuike
Madubuike has been ruled out with a neck injury. He has not played this season and is still returning from the injury that ended his 2025 campaign.
Broderick Washington Jr.
Washington logged 21 defensive snaps in the opener. His workload could increase with Madubuike sidelined for another week.
John Jenkins
The 360-pound veteran played 13 snaps against Indianapolis. He gives Baltimore a physical early-down option against the Saints’ running game.
Aeneas Peebles
Peebles played 10 defensive snaps in Week 1. His quickness provides a pass-rushing changeup within Baltimore’s interior rotation.
Outside linebackers
Trey Hendrickson
Hendrickson produced eight pressures in his Ravens debut. Baltimore generated a 58.6% pressure rate when he was on the field, compared with 20% without him. He is questionable with a finger injury.
Tavius Robinson
Robinson registered seven pressures and Baltimore’s first sack of the season. He played 44 defensive snaps and benefited from the attention directed toward Hendrickson.
Mike Green
Green played 17 defensive snaps against the Colts. His role could expand if Hendrickson is limited or unavailable.
Ethan Burke
The undrafted rookie earned a place on the initial roster after a productive summer. At 6-foot-6 and 267 pounds, he offers length and developmental pass-rush ability.
Zion Young
The rookie did not have a significant defensive role in Week 1. His size gives Baltimore another power-based edge option.
Inside linebackers
Roquan Smith
Smith led Baltimore with 11 tackles and intercepted Daniel Jones during the Week 1 victory. His turnover helped the Ravens respond after Indianapolis’ productive opening possession.
Trenton Simpson
Simpson played 32 defensive snaps and is expected to start again with Buchanan unavailable. He finished the opener with three tackles.
Teddye Buchanan
Buchanan has been ruled out because of a knee injury. He was limited throughout the week but has not fully participated since returning from last season’s injury.
Jay Higgins IV
Higgins contributed primarily on special teams in Week 1. His role as a reserve linebacker becomes more important with Buchanan sidelined.
Cornerbacks
Nate Wiggins
Wiggins allowed no receptions on two targets across 34 coverage snaps in Week 1. He was the only qualifying outside cornerback through Sunday’s games who did not permit a reception.
Marlon Humphrey
Humphrey forced and recovered Jonathan Taylor’s fumble, helping Baltimore turn the takeaway into a touchdown. He played every defensive snap and moved between the perimeter and slot.
Chidobe Awuzie
Awuzie played six defensive snaps in the opener. The veteran provides experienced outside depth behind Wiggins and Humphrey.
Chandler Rivers
The rookie was inactive against Indianapolis. He provides slot depth and could contribute on special teams.
Keyon Martin
Martin played 23 defensive snaps and 16 special-teams snaps in Week 1. His versatility allows Baltimore to use him in the slot, at safety, or in pressure packages.
T.J. Tampa Jr.
Tampa has been ruled out with a knee injury. He left the season opener early and did not practice this week.
Safeties
Kyle Hamilton
Hamilton played all 54 defensive snaps and produced five tackles. His pressure against a double-team helped flush Jones into Robinson’s sack.
Malaki Starks
Starks recorded six tackles and sealed the victory with a fourth-down sack. He played every defensive snap in the opener.
Jaylinn Hawkins
Hawkins played 52 defensive snaps as Baltimore frequently used three-safety personnel. He practiced fully after appearing on the injury report with a chest issue.
Keondre Jackson
Jackson is available after practicing fully Thursday and Friday. He remains a core special-teams contributor and reserve safety.
Specialists
Tyler Loop
Loop converted both field-goal attempts against Indianapolis, including a career-long 57-yarder before halftime. He added a 45-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Ryan Eckley
The rookie punter had limited work because Baltimore’s offense scored 41 points. Eckley’s leg strength earned him the job following Jordan Stout’s departure.
Nick Moore
Moore continues to handle long-snapping duties for Baltimore’s field-goal, extra-point, and punt operations.
The most important roster developments
Baltimore’s most significant concern is at wide receiver. Lane must miss at least four games after going on injured reserve, while Flowers is unlikely to face New Orleans.
That leaves Bateman, Moore, Walker, Wester and Sarratt as Baltimore’s healthy receivers. The Ravens can also lean more heavily on Andrews, Smythe and Hibner without asking one receiver to replace Flowers’ entire role.
The offensive line requires monitoring until the inactive list is released. Stanley and Simpson are questionable, although both returned on a limited basis Friday. Vinson and Vorhees are the leading replacement options.
