The Baltimore Ravens will face a healthier New Orleans Saints team in Sunday’s home opener at M&T Bank Stadium.
For the Saints, running back Alvin Kamara, defensive end Cam Jordan, wide receiver Chris Olave, and pass rusher Chase Young are active. Kamara and Jordan will make their season debuts after missing New Orleans’ overtime loss to Detroit. The Saints listed running back Kendre Miller, cornerback Decamerion Richardson, offensive tackle Mason Murphy, linebacker Isaiah Stalbird, defensive tackles John Ridgeway and Christen Miller, and quarterback Zach Wilson as inactive. Kamara’s return gives quarterback Tyler Shough one of the NFL’s most versatile running backs. Baltimore must account for Kamara as a runner and receiver, especially on screens,
option routes, and other plays designed to match him against linebackers.
Olave was listed as questionable with a hamstring injury, while Young dealt with calf soreness during the week. Both are available despite their injury concerns.

Young and Jordan will test a Baltimore offensive line that entered Sunday with left tackle Ronnie Stanley and left guard John Simpson listed as questionable. Their availability could matter most if the Ravens are forced to adjust their starting combination. New Orleans will be thinner in the interior defensive line without Ridgeway and Christen Miller. That could benefit Derrick Henry and Baltimore’s physical rushing attack.
The Ravens will be without wide receiver Zay Flowers, defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and linebacker Teddye Buchanan. Flowers’ absence places additional pressure on Rashod Bateman, Chris Moore, and Baltimore’s tight ends to produce in the passing game.
