Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his ankle Monday after leaving Baltimore’s stadium in a walking boot following Sunday’s 24-18 win over the Tennessee Titans, according to Adam Schefter.
Jackson injured his left ankle on the final play of the first half, when Titans defensive end Jermaine Johnson II sacked him. Jackson did not return after halftime. Ravens coach Jesse Minter said after the game that the team needed more information, while NFL Network reported Jackson was considered day-to-day.
Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns before leaving. He also rushed twice for 20 yards. Tyler Huntley took over in the second half and completed 8 of 9 passes for 63 yards, but Baltimore did
not score after halftime.
The Ravens led 24-7 entering halftime. Tennessee narrowed the margin to six late in the fourth quarter, but Baltimore recovered the ensuing onside kick to secure the victory. The MRI should provide the Ravens with more information about the injury as they prepare for next Sunday night’s game against Atlanta. Jackson’s availability will be a central question this week; Baltimore has not announced a diagnosis or a return timeline.
