The Baltimore Ravens are moving closer to landing an experienced quarterback, reportedly finalizing a trade with the Arizona Cardinals to acquire veteran Jacoby Brissett following injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter, Baltimore is finalizing a deal for Brissett, with the transaction expected to be completed this weekend. The reported agreement comes as the Ravens prepare to start undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night.
Trade compensation has not been announced, and the deal is not yet complete.
The move would give Baltimore an established veteran with extensive starting experience and familiarity with quarterback coach Israel Woolfolk,
who worked with Brissett in Arizona last season.

Ravens Wire identified Brissett as a potential trade target
Baltimore's interest in Brissett comes just two days after Ravens Wire identified the veteran quarterback as a potential solution to the team's growing injury problems. In our November 2 analysis, Ravens Wire examined Brissett as a possible trade option following Jackson's thumb injury and Huntley's turf toe injury.
The potential fit made sense because of Brissett's extensive NFL experience, Arizona's quarterback situation, and his previous relationship with Woolfork. Baltimore has since learned that Huntley's season is over, and he needs surgery to repair his turf toe injury. Jackson is also headed to injured reserve and requires thumb surgery, leaving the Ravens without their top two quarterbacks.
Fagnano, who completed 10 of 21 passes for 91 yards against Buffalo, will make his first NFL start Thursday against Jacksonville.
What Jacoby Brissett brings to Baltimore
Brissett, 33, is in his 11th NFL season and has played for New England, Indianapolis, Miami, Cleveland, Washington, and Arizona.
The veteran has completed 193 of 305 passes for 1,719 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions in eight games with the Cardinals this season.
He is coming off a productive 2025 campaign in Arizona, throwing for 3,366 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 appearances. Brissett has appeared in 109 regular-season games, making 73 starts, and has thrown for 16,485 yards, 86 touchdowns, and 39 interceptions during his career. His experience would be a significant upgrade for a Baltimore quarterback room that currently includes rookies Fagnano and Austin Reed, along with recently acquired Kedon Slovis.
The Ravens enter Thursday's matchup at 4-4 after three straight losses, creating urgency to stabilize an offense significantly impacted by injuries.
If the trade is completed this weekend, Brissett would join Baltimore after its matchup against Jacksonville, giving the coaching staff an opportunity to evaluate how quickly he can learn the offense.
For a Ravens team trying to stay in the AFC playoff race, acquiring Brissett would be a significant investment in keeping the season competitive while Jackson recovers.
