The Ravens added another receiver following a difficult opening week for the position, signing Gage Larvadain to their practice squad and releasing kicker Jake Moody. Larvadain spent the 2025 season and most of the 2026 offseason with the Cleveland Browns before being released in late August. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent from South Carolina. The move gives Baltimore another developmental receiver and potential return specialist while the team evaluates multiple injuries.
Rookie Ja’Kobi Lane suffered a wrist injury during Baltimore’s 41-23 victory over the Indianapolis Colts and is undergoing additional testing. Zay Flowers left the game with a hamstring injury after catching five passes for 150 yards and one touchdown. Flowers’
injury is not considered serious, but he is listed as day-to-day.

Devontez Walker was also inactive for the opener because of a groin injury.
Larvadain appeared in 13 games for Cleveland last season. He caught seven of 14 targets for 71 yards and three first downs. He also returned 24 punts for 167 yards, including a season-long 44-yard return. His return experience could increase his value in Baltimore. LaJohntay Wester handled the primary punt-return responsibilities against Indianapolis, while Chris Moore was elevated from the practice squad and contributed on kickoff returns before catching a 53-yard pass.
Larvadain played at Southeastern Louisiana and Miami of Ohio before finishing his college career at South Carolina. He caught 19 passes for 223 yards and one touchdown during his final college season.
Baltimore released Moody to create the practice-squad opening. The former San Francisco 49ers kicker joined the Ravens during the preseason as competition and insurance behind Tyler Loop. Loop strengthened his hold on the job during the opener.
