The Baltimore Ravens can remove a familiar name from the list of experienced offensive linemen available to help stabilize their injury-depleted unit.
Veteran guard Kevin Zeitler is signing a one-year contract with the Green Bay Packers, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. The Wisconsin native and former Wisconsin standout returns home after spending the 2025 season with the Tennessee Titans. Zeitler started all 16 games he played for Tennessee and has made 213 career starts since the Cincinnati Bengals selected him in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft. Green Bay has aggressively addressed its offensive line this week, adding Zeitler and Laken Tomlinson to the active roster while signing Mekhi Becton to its practice squad.

The signing is notable from Baltimore’s perspective because the Ravens are seeking reinforcements after injuries to their top two centers. Jovaughn Gwyn is expected to miss two to three months with a fractured fibula, while Ethan Pocic is dealing with a knee injury.
First-round rookie Vega Ioane, who started Baltimore’s first three games at guard, is preparing for a potential move to center. That would give Ioane his first start at center and create another opening along the interior offensive line.
Zeitler was not a natural replacement at center, but his experience at right guard could have given the Ravens more flexibility if Ioane moves inside. Baltimore could have kept Zeitler at his customary position and adjusted the remaining combinations around him. However, there was no reported indication that the Ravens pursued a reunion.
Zeitler spent three seasons in Baltimore from 2021 through 2023 and earned his first Pro Bowl selection following his final season with the team. He then played one season apiece with Detroit and Tennessee before reaching an agreement with Green Bay.
The Ravens worked out centers Graham Glasgow and Kingsley Eguakun and guard Kyle Hergel this week, indicating that more than one addition could be under consideration. Zeitler’s deal removes an accomplished veteran from the market, but Baltimore’s immediate priority remains finding a viable center and protecting its interior depth.
The urgency increased considerably with Gwyn's extended absence. Baltimore must now determine whether Ioane is ready to handle the communication and protection responsibilities at center or whether an outside addition can provide a more experienced solution.
