The Baltimore Ravens made a powerful opening statement, and with NFL experts back on the bandwagon after a down 2025, evaluators overwhelmingly expect them to continue their strong start Sunday. Baltimore will host the New Orleans Saints
at M&T Bank Stadium after beginning the Jesse Minter era with a 41-23 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. New Orleans enters at 0-1 after erasing a 21-point deficit before losing to the Detroit Lions in overtime. The Saints’ comeback, Tyler Shough’s 410-yard performance and Baltimore’s injuries at wide receiver provide reasons for caution. They have not, however, persuaded many experts to predict an upset.
Here is how the leading national and local outlets are picking the Week 2 matchup.

The Sporting News: Ravens

Iyer believes Baltimore has more energy under Minter and offensive coordinator Declan Doyle. He also cited the combination of an active pass defense, dominant running game and explosive passing attack as too much for New Orleans to overcome.
His 18-point margin is one of the larger projections included in the roundup.
CBS Sports: Ravens to win, Saints to cover
CBS Sports analysts Jordan Dajani and Jared Dubin both predicted Baltimore victories, but each selected New Orleans against the spread.
Pete Prisco offered a more comfortable projection in the Ravens’ roundup, predicting Baltimore will win 33-20.
Bleacher Report: Ravens to win, Saints to cover
Bleacher Report’s panel was much less confident Baltimore would cover the 8.5-point spread.
Five of the seven analysts selected New Orleans with the points. Only Wes O’Donnell and Brent Sobleski backed Baltimore to cover.
Overall consensus
The straight-up consensus is overwhelmingly in favor of Baltimore. ESPN, Sports Illustrated, NFL.com, USA TODAY, The Baltimore Banner and The Sporting News all picked the Ravens across the board. NFL Network produced the only outright New Orleans selection among those larger panels.
