The Baltimore Ravensretained several young players on their practice squad who could eventually compete for active-roster roles. Baltimore’s roster is elite and built to win now, leaving limited opportunities for developmental prospects. The practice squad allows those players to improve without requiring the Ravens to sacrifice experienced depth on the 53-man roster.
Here are five prospects with the best long-term potential.
1. Adisa Isaac, OLB
Isaac remains an intriguing pass-rushing prospect despite failing to secure an active-roster position entering his third season. Baltimore selected the former Penn State defender in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft. Injuries disrupted the beginning of his career and prevented him from establishing a consistent role.
The Ravens have significant depth on the edge, but that room could change quickly as contracts expire and veteran players age. Isaac still has an opportunity to develop into a rotational pass rusher if he remains healthy and translates his athleticism into consistent production.
2. Kaimon Rucker, OLB
Rucker has the power and physical playing style to develop into a dependable edge-setting defender. He spent the summer competing in one of Baltimore’s deepest position groups. The practice squad gives Rucker additional time to expand his pass-rushing bag and improve his work on special teams. Those improvements could make him a candidate for a larger role in 2027.
3. Rayshaun Benny, DL
Baltimore selected Benny in the seventh round before waiving him during final roster reductions. Bringing him back showed the Ravens remain interested in his development. The former Michigan defender has the size to play multiple positions along the defensive front. Learning behind Nnamdi Madubuike, Calais Campbell, Travis Jones and Broderick Washington could help Benny become more technically consistent.
4. Gerad Lichtenhan, T
At 6-foot-8 and 330 pounds, Lichtenhan has the frame NFL teams want from an offensive tackle. He also has experience in Baltimore’s system after spending time with the organization in 2025. The practice squad will allow him to continue improving his balance, footwork, and hand placement. Offensive tackle is a premium position, making his development particularly valuable.
5. Nick Dawkins, C
Dawkins joined the Ravens as an undrafted rookie after starting extensively at Penn State. His intelligence, toughness, and familiarity with making protection calls give Baltimore a natural developmental center. The season-ending injury to Danny Pinter demonstrated how quickly offensive line depth can disappear. Dawkins can use his rookie season to add strength and learn behind Ethan Pocic and Jovaughn Gwyn.
If he progresses, Dawkins could eventually compete for an interior reserve position that provides depth at center and guard.
