The Ravens added a veteran to their game-day roster before Sunday’s matchup with the Cowboys in Brazil.
Baltimore announced a standard practice squad elevation for safety K’Von Wallace. The move makes him eligible to play against Dallas without signing him permanently to the 53-man roster.
Wallace gives the Ravens another option behind Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks and Jaylinn Hawkins. Starks was listed as a full participant in Friday’s estimated practice report and has no injury designation for Sunday, so the elevation should not be read as an indication that he has been ruled out. Wallace could also contribute on special teams.
Hawkins remains part of Baltimore’s safety rotation, but his Week 2 performance gives the Ravens reason to value another
experienced option. His defensive holding penalty erased a stop on New Orleans’ two-point conversion attempt, giving the Saints another chance to tie the game. Baltimore also struggled with missed tackles and coverage as it lost its fourth-quarter lead. Wallace’s elevation adds depth while the defense works to clean up those mistakes; it does not mean Hawkins is losing his role.

A former fourth-round pick by the Eagles, Wallace spent his first three NFL seasons in Philadelphia. He has played in 74 career games with 20 starts, recording 177 tackles and one interception. He appeared in three games for Houston last season before joining Baltimore during the offseason and returning to its practice squad after roster cuts.
The Ravens secondary will have its hands full against Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Wallace’s elevation gives them experienced depth in the secondary if they need to adjust their defensive rotation during the game. His special teams experience could matter, too, against a Dallas team with a dangerous returner in KaVontae Turpin.
Wallace’s elevation makes him available Sunday; Baltimore’s inactive list will determine whether he dresses.
