The Baltimore Ravens are loaded at every key position and have enough elite and All-Pro caliber talent to contend for a Super Bowl in Jesse Minter's first season. Still, their ceiling could be determined by the development of several younger players. Some are already established starters approaching Pro Bowl status. Others are talented prospects preparing to assume larger roles under a new coaching staff. Baltimore will need contributions from both groups as Jesse Minter begins his first season as head coach.
With the regular season approaching, here are five Ravens players positioned for breakout campaigns in 2026.
Ja’Kobi Lane
Lane gives Baltimore something its wide receiver room has lacked: a big-bodied target capable of winning contested catches and creating
mismatches near the goal line.
The rookie’s size, catch radius, and body control should make him an intriguing option for Lamar Jackson. Lane does not have to become Baltimore’s No. 1 receiver immediately, especially with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman already established within the offense.
He can still carve out an important role on third downs and in the red zone. If Lane earns Jackson’s trust and adjusts quickly to the physical nature of NFL coverage, he could emerge as one of the most productive rookie receivers in his class.
Roger Rosengarten
Rosengarten has already demonstrated that he can handle a starting role at right tackle. His next step is establishing himself as one of the AFC’s best players at the position.
The former second-round pick possesses the athleticism to protect the edge and move defenders in Baltimore’s rushing attack. His experience playing alongside Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry should also help him become more comfortable with the offense’s protection rules and responsibilities.
Another year of physical development could allow Rosengarten to become more consistent against powerful edge rushers. If he improves in that area while continuing to excel in space, his first Pro Bowl selection could follow.
Mike Green
Green enters 2026 with an opportunity to become a featured piece of Baltimore’s rebuilt pass rush.
The young edge defender has the speed, flexibility, and competitive temperament required to pressure quarterbacks consistently. His ability to threaten offensive tackles around the corner should also create opportunities for Baltimore’s interior rushers.
Green will have to remain disciplined against the run and continue to expand his pass-rush repertoire. Playing alongside veterans such as Trey Hendrickson should accelerate that development.
If Green converts his pressures into sacks and holds up on early downs, he could become one of the NFL’s most dangerous young edge rushers.
Nate Wiggins
Wiggins has already shown the coverage ability that made him a first-round pick. The 2026 season could be the one when he receives national recognition.
His speed allows him to recover when receivers gain an initial advantage, while his length gives him the ability to disrupt passes at the catch point. Wiggins also has the confidence necessary to handle assignments against opposing No. 1 receivers.
The next step will be to turn more pass breakups into interceptions and consistently finish opportunities when quarterbacks test him. If Wiggins adds takeaways to his reliable coverage, he should have a legitimate chance to earn his first Pro Bowl selection.
Malaki Starks
Starks possesses the intelligence, athleticism and versatility to become the next star in Baltimore’s secondary.
He can play deep safety, work closer to the line of scrimmage, and match up with tight ends or slot receivers. That flexibility gives defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver multiple ways to pair Starks with Kyle Hamilton without making either player predictable.
Starks’ range should help Baltimore limit explosive passes, while his instincts could put him in position to create turnovers. As he becomes more comfortable within the defense, the Ravens can expand his responsibilities and move him around the formation.
A Pro Bowl selection would be an ambitious expectation for a young safety, but Starks has the skill set and supporting cast to make it realistic.
