The Baltimore Ravens will look to rebound from a disappointing loss to the Cincinnati Bengals when they travel to Highmark Stadium for a Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon.
Baltimore (4-3) is coming off a 35-13 loss to Cincinnati, including one of the team's most disappointing second-half performances of the season. The Ravens carried a 13-0 lead into halftime before allowing 35 unanswered points, dropping their second consecutive AFC North matchup and falling behind Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in the division standings. Baltimore now faces another tough AFC opponent, and a trip to Buffalo offers a chance to regain momentum before a critical stretch of the schedule.
CBS will televise the game, with Ian Eagle handling play-by-play
and Ross Tucker serving as the analyst. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 1, on NFL+.
According to the Week 8 television coverage maps from 506 Sports, the Ravens-Bills matchup will be CBS' most widely distributed early-afternoon game, reaching a substantial portion of the country.
The game will be available throughout Maryland and the Baltimore-Washington television market, as well as Buffalo, much of New York, and large portions of the Northeast and Midwest. The matchup will also reach extensive areas of the western United States, including several major television markets.
Other CBS early-window games include Cleveland at Pittsburgh, Indianapolis at Jacksonville and Tennessee at Cincinnati.
The Ravens enter Sunday's matchup looking to reverse a troubling trend after their defense struggled to contain Cincinnati during the second half of Week 7. Baltimore allowed touchdowns on five consecutive Bengals possessions after halftime, continuing a pattern of defensive breakdowns that has contributed to the team's recent struggles.
The offense will also be under scrutiny as Baltimore tries to produce more consistently against another AFC opponent. The Ravens have struggled to sustain momentum without quarterback Lamar Jackson, whose ankle injury has disrupted the offense, and the running game hasn't consistently controlled games.
Buffalo presents another difficult challenge for a Baltimore team trying to stay competitive in the AFC North and improve its standing in the conference. The Week 8 schedule features several key AFC matchups, including Cleveland at Pittsburgh early in the day and Kansas City at Denver later Sunday afternoon.
