Zay Flowers entered the 2026 season with a new $140 million contract and immediately showed why Baltimore made such a significant investment. Flowers dominated the Indianapolis Colts throughout the first half, catching five passes for 140 yards and one touchdown while averaging an eye-opening 30.0 yards per reception.
His biggest play came after he motioned out of the backfield and caught a short pass from Lamar Jackson. Flowers turned upfield, found open space and raced 54 yards for a touchdown that helped Baltimore build a 21-6 lead.
The score continued an efficient start for Jackson, who, at the time of writing this, completed 10 of 13 passes for 214 yards and one touchdown during the first half. Derrick Henry added 63 yards and two touchdowns
on 11 carries, with his score tying Marcus Allen for third in NFL history with 123 career rushing touchdowns, and moving into sole possession of third place.

Flowers accounted for more than half of Jackson’s passing yardage in the opening two quarters. His speed, versatility, and ability to create yards after the catch gave Indianapolis problems from the opening drive and provided an early glimpse of his expanded role in Baltimore’s revamped offense.
