The BaltimoreRavens received an encouraging initial update on Zay Flowers after the star wide receiver left Sunday’s 41-23 victory over the Indianapolis Colts with a hamstring injury.
The injury is not considered serious, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported, citing sources. Flowers is considered day-to-day and will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Rapoport added that Flowers likely would have returned if Baltimore had been playing a postseason game. The Ravens instead protected their top receiver after building a comfortable lead. Flowers was ruled out after producing one of the most explosive performances of his career. He caught five of six targets for a career-high 150 yards (30 yards avg) and one touchdown before
departing.

His biggest plays included a 49-yard reception on Baltimore’s first offensive series and a 54-yard catch-and-run touchdown during the second quarter. Flowers’ dominant performance against Indianapolis gave him 10 career games with at least 100 receiving yards, tying Mark Andrews for the most in Ravens history. Flowers entered the season following consecutive 1,000-yard campaigns and a franchise-record 1,211 receiving yards in 2025.
The positive initial diagnosis matters because rookie Ja’Kobi Lane suffered a fractured wrist Sunday, while Devontez Walker was inactive with a groin injury.
Flowers’ MRI should provide additional clarity before Baltimore begins preparing for its Week 2 home opener against the New Orleans Saints. Given the nature of hamstring injuries, the Ravens are likely to remain cautious even if testing confirms no significant damage.
