Derrick Henry’s matchup against Tennessee offers more than a reunion with the franchise where he became one of the NFL’s most dominant running backs. Two rushing touchdowns Sunday would put the Ravens star alongside two Hall of Famers in an exclusive statistical club.
According to Baltimore’s Week 4 game notes, Henry needs two rushing scores to become the third player in NFL history with at least 40 for two different franchises. He scored 90 rushing touchdowns during his Tennessee career and has added 38 since joining the Ravens.
Henry can join Marcus Allen and Marshall Faulk
Marcus Allen and Marshall Faulk are the only players to reach that benchmark. Allen scored 79 rushing touchdowns with the Raiders and 44 with Kansas City. Faulk recorded 42 with Indianapolis and 58 with the St. Louis
Rams.
Reaching 40 with Baltimore would underscore how successfully Henry has carried his production into another chapter of his career. His Tennessee accomplishments established his reputation, but his scoring pace with the Ravens has continued to strengthen his place among the game’s greatest running backs.
Baltimore needs another productive afternoon
Henry enters Week 4 with 301 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns through three games. He scored twice in Baltimore’s 34-31 victory over Dallas, providing the exact rushing touchdown total he would need Sunday to reach the milestone.
The Ravens are seeking their first home victory of the season. Henry can help deliver it while making history against the team where his NFL career began.
