Dallas could be without a key linebacker against the Ravens in Brazil on Sunday, adding another concern for a defense that has struggled to stop the run.
Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown has a “low probability” of playing because of a hamstring injury, according to Jon Machota. Overshown missed Dallas’ Week 2 win over Washington. His status for the Ravens game remains unsettled, but the matchup presents a difficult test even if Dallas gets him back.
The Cowboys have allowed 347 rushing yards through two games, or 173.5 per game, at 5.0 yards per carry. Opponents have gained 22 rushing first downs against them. Baltimore, meanwhile, has rushed for 310 yards, averaging 155 per game, and produced 20 rushing first downs. That puts Derrick Henry
and Lamar Jackson against a Dallas defense already giving up sustained production on the ground.

Overshown’s speed gives Dallas a defender who can pursue plays across the field and add pressure. His most productive season came in 2024, when he recorded 90 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks and an interception returned for a touchdown in 13 games. He returned from a major knee injury to play six games last season, finishing with 28 tackles.
Dallas turned to rookie Jaishawn Barham to relay defensive calls against Washington while Overshown was out. Barham responded with seven tackles and a forced fumble, helping the Cowboys win 37-20. Baltimore will test that group differently: Jackson’s ability to keep the ball forces linebackers to account for him while Henry threatens the middle of the defense.
The Ravens are coming off a fourth-quarter collapse against New Orleans. Establishing the run against Dallas would give them a way to control possessions and keep Dak Prescott off the field. Overshown’s likely absence could make that job harder for the Cowboys, though Baltimore still has to turn its statistical advantage into points.
