Zay Flowers will enter Baltimore’s season opener trying to extend one of the NFL’s quieter scoring streaks.
Flowers scored a touchdown in each of his final four games last season. He finished the year with career highs of 86 receptions and 1,211 receiving yards while producing six total touchdowns — five receiving and one rushing.
The performance established Flowers as Baltimore’s clear No. 1 wide receiver. He accounted for 1,273 yards from scrimmage, giving Lamar Jackson an explosive option capable of creating after the catch or winning down the field.
Indianapolis ranked 31st against the pass in 2025, allowing 247.9 yards per game. The Colts added talent to their secondary, but Flowers’ speed and versatility will immediately test their communication.
Flowers recorded eight catches for 48 yards when the teams last met in 2023. Baltimore’s passing attack has evolved since then, and the presence of Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews, Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt should make it more difficult for Indianapolis to concentrate exclusively on Flowers.
If the Ravens establish Derrick Henry early, Flowers could find favorable matchups through play-action. His ability to turn limited touches into explosive gains makes him one of Baltimore’s most important Week 1 players.
