Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry continues to climb the NFL's all-time rushing list, passing two Hall of Famers during Thursday night's matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars at M&T Bank Stadium. Henry surpassed Jerome Bettis and LaDainian Tomlinson in the first half, moving into seventh place in league history and adding another milestone to one of the most productive running back careers in NFL history.
The Ravens confirmed Henry's achievement during the second quarter, with the veteran passing Bettis' 13,662 career rushing yards before moving ahead of Tomlinson's 13,684. Henry finished the first half with 51 yards on 12 carries, averaging 4.3 yards per attempt, although Baltimore trailed Jacksonville 17-3 at halftime.

Derrick Henry passes two Hall of Fame running backs
Henry entered Thursday's matchup needing only a modest rushing total to move past two of the NFL's most accomplished running backs. Bettis finished his career with 13,662 rushing yards during 13 seasons with the Los Angeles and St. Louis Rams and Pittsburgh Steelers. Known for his physical running style, Bettis was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015.
Tomlinson rushed for 13,684 yards during 11 NFL seasons with the San Diego Chargers and New York Jets. The former NFL MVP became one of the league's most complete offensive players, combining rushing production with exceptional receiving ability.
Henry passed Bettis early in the first quarter before overtaking Tomlinson in the second quarter.
The achievement carries additional significance because Henry has previously identified Tomlinson as one of the running backs he admired while growing up.
Henry now trails Curtis Martin, who ranks sixth in NFL history with 14,101 rushing yards.

Ravens lean heavily on Henry against Jacksonville
Baltimore entered Thursday's game with major quarterback concerns after Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley were placed on injured reserve.
With rookie Joe Fagnano making his first NFL start, the Ravens turned to Henry as the centerpiece of an unconventional rushing attack.
Baltimore opened its first offensive possession with Henry taking a direct snap from the wildcat formation for six yards. The veteran continued lining up in the formation through the first half, taking seven direct snaps as the Ravens tried to limit pressure on Fagnano.
Henry's rushing production helped Baltimore build a significant time-of-possession advantage, but the offense struggled to generate points.
The Ravens managed only a 53-yard field goal from Jake Moody during the first half, while Jacksonville built a 14-point lead behind quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Derrick Henry continues building Hall of Fame résumé
Henry's latest accomplishment adds to a career that already includes multiple rushing titles, an NFL Offensive Player of the Year award and membership in the exclusive group of players to rush for at least 2,000 yards in a season.
The former Alabama standout established himself as one of the league's most dominant runners during his tenure with the Tennessee Titans before joining Baltimore in 2024.
His combination of size, speed, and durability has allowed him to remain productive well into his 30s, an increasingly rare achievement at a position defined by physical punishment and shorter career spans.
Passing Bettis and Tomlinson places Henry among the seven most productive rushing players in NFL history, with Martin representing the next target on the list.
For now, Henry's focus remains on helping Baltimore overcome another difficult performance.
The Ravens entered halftime trailing Jacksonville 17-3, giving the veteran running back a chance to add to his historic night while trying to lead a second-half comeback.
