Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson could return Sunday against the Cleveland Browns after missing two games following finger surgery. Coach Jesse Minter expressed optimism Monday about getting Hendrickson back for the AFC North matchup, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.
“I think Trey will be chopping at the bit to be ready to roll this week,” Minter said.
Hendrickson injured his finger in the season opener against Indianapolis and played through the injury against New Orleans and Dallas before undergoing a procedure. He then missed Baltimore’s games against Tennessee and Atlanta.
Hendrickson recorded one sack and three quarterback hits in his first three games with Baltimore. The Ravens went 2-1 with him available and won both
games during his absence, improving to 4-1 after Sunday night’s 30-23 overtime victory over the Falcons.
His potential return would give Baltimore another proven option on the edge. The Ravens recorded one sack against Tennessee without Hendrickson, with undrafted rookie Ethan Burke getting the first of his career.
Minter also offered an encouraging update on rookie receiver Ja’Kobi Lane.
“I feel pretty good about both those guys,” Minter said in a clip shared by the team.

Lane underwent wrist surgery after getting injured in the opener, when he caught one pass for 11 yards. He is eligible to return from injured reserve against Cleveland after missing four games. Neither player’s availability has been confirmed, but Baltimore enters the practice week with a chance to add reinforcements on both sides of the ball.
